Brand new Warwickshire e-learning module: the Covenant Legal Duty as it applies to housing

September 4, 2024

Warwickshire County Council has today launched a brand new e-learning module on the Armed Forces Covenant Legal Duty as it applies to housing.

This e-learning is for anyone working within a public sector or other organisation across the whole of Great Britain and NI who needs to understand what the Armed Forces Covenant Duty is and how it applies within Housing and Homelessness.

In terms of roles, this e-learning is appropriate for those involved in senior roles such as leadership, policy making, decision making, commissioning, strategy, service re-design, programme management and operational management of the organisation.

The e-learning covers:

  • What the Armed Forces Covenant and Covenant Duty are
  • How to apply the Covenant Duty at an individual and organisational/corporate level
  • A range of scenarios exploring case studies to see if and how the Covenant Duty applies

This is the fourth module on the Armed Forces Covenant produced by Warwickshire County Council, with funding support from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust. It is the second one specifically focussing on one of the three key areas subject to the Covenant Duty: healthcare, housing and education.

The e-learning is available for anyone to do on the website of the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust here.

A full list of the Warwickshire e-learning modules is provided at Other sources of Covenant training.

Organisations wishing to download the training for use on their own learning management platforms can request it from afcc@warwickshire.gov.uk.
