A question of trust
July 19, 2016
After a disastrous year for the reputation of charities, the public’s trust in them is at an all time low according to Lt General Sir Andrew Ridgway, chairman of COBSEO (The Confederation of Service Charities).
Determined to fix this, military charities are placing an emphasis on achieving better practice and better value for money.
To cut out confusion and inefficiency they are also setting out a sensible route map to help people find their way through the maze of help on offer.
In an age when the number of charities is increasing all the time, it’s important that there is no overlap in the support that they offer to people in need.
This is all in a drive to spend money effectively and to make sure that the largest benefit is felt by those who need it the most – Servicemen and women, veterans and their dependents.
